Pattern Description:
The Nettie is a quick and easy to make wardrobe staple. Close fitting with high cut arms, she can be made into a knit dress OR a bodysuit. This pattern is infinitely customizable with a choice of 3 sleeve lengths, 2 neckline and 3 back variations.
Pattern Sizing:
2 - 18
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I did not followed the instructions 100% but instead I used technical drawings for guidance + personal experience. In general, the instructions are very easy to follow, very comprehensive.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There is nothing I dislike about this pattern. I always needed a close fitting top to wear with jeans or skirts.
Fabric Used:
I used less than one metre of sparkled cotton jersey.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I decided to go with the low back variation in size 4. Although, according to the measurements, I should be a size 6, my fabric had enough stretch to fit into a 4. I did not make any adjustments but I wish the armholes were located slightly lower. Next time I would redraft and position them lower by approximately 3 cm. The armholes are not tight or anything but you can clearly see from pictures that my biceps don't fit the armhole which creates wrinkles. But, hey, I should have muslined it beforehand!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Of course, I would! There are never enough bodysuits I'd like to make a dress as well: my stash is full of knits.
Not only this pattern is a great wardrobe staple, it also has a zillion of potential variations!

Really cute. I love the open back. I don't think those wrinkles are because of your arms though. Since they are above and below the bust. I would investigate a FBA first
