|Pattern Description: Khaki skirt with fly front, front pockets, back slit and belt loops|
Pattern Sizing:This is a Bernina My Label pattern which uses 44 measurements input then generations a custom pattern.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes it did
Were the instructions easy to follow?I've made this skirt countless times so the only instructions I used were for the fly front. Every time I do one I have to remember how it works. Those instructions are quite adequate.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is my TNT skirt pattern. It definitely fits me well and I can do a lot with it.
Fabric Used:This is a cotton twill fabric from G Street Fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:Quite a few! I changed the waist band from a hidden facing to a waist band. I added the pockets and the fly front. The original front has no seam. I also added the belt loops which were done on my cover stitch machine. The seams might have been flat fell like jeans but I'm losing some weight so I wanted this to easily altered. There is no lining because I consider this more of a casual warm weather skirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes I would. A good basic skirt pattern is a wonderful staple.
Conclusion: This is a skirt I can where with quite a few things weekends or work. I love working with a basic pattern and putting my own touches on it!
