Pattern Description: This is a basic skirt with a nautical slant to it.

Pattern Sizing:This is a Bernina My Label pattern which uses 44 measurements input to generation a custom pattern

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, with the modifications I made.

Were the instructions easy to follow?I didn't need to use any.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is my TNT pattern for skirts. I use it a lot.

Fabric Used:This is a lightweight denim from G Street Fabrics.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made the hidden facing into a waist band. I made the fake "flap" by making a shallow "pocket" in the front. I did buttonholes and added these wonderful buttons from G Street Fabrics with the ships on them. The back has an invisible zipper. I did add a welt pocket to the back but I'm not sure I would recommend that in denim. I didn't do flat felled seams because I want to be able to alter it.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes, or any good basic skirt pattern. There is so much to so with them!

Conclusion: I had a lot of fun figuring out how to take that pattern and make it "nautical". This is definitely a "enjoy the process" skirt.

Nice detailing with the fake sailor front. It is a great idea as there is not gaping.
