Pattern Description: Boatneck raglan sleeve tee

Pattern Sizing:36-46. I made a 38.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?I didn't look at them

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Likes: The fit is nice, more relaxed than what I think of as "fitted" but not baggy either. The neckline doesn't show bra straps.

Dislikes: Personally I prefer a slightly wider, slightly deeper neckline and a little bit more waist shaping. I want to emphasize that this is strictly personal preference and not a fault of the pattern!

Fabric Used:Modal rayon/lycra jersey (Fabric Mart). It had plenty of stretch - about 100% in the width and 80% in the length.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

  • Added around 4" to the hips

  • 1/2" broad back adjustment

  • Added a significant amount of width to the sleeves - over 1"

  • Tapered the sleeves at the wrist

  • Lengthened the sleeves 1.5" (I ended up not needing┬áthis adjustment)

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes. It definitely has TNT potential.

Conclusion: For more details (and a comparison to the Style Arc Samantha) you can view the blog post.

The Burda tee and scarf are a flattering combination on you.

Nice top. I am a fan of white tops so was immediately drawn to your review. Can I ask how you do your broad back adjustment. I need to do for the first time and am looking for some expert advice.
