Thanks for a candid and helpful review. I have found this pattern line disappointing-interesting concepts but the sewer must be ready to re-design the pattern to get a wearable result.

It appears the fabric and how much you take it in at the shoulder and sides really makes a difference. I don't have any issue at all with mine coming open except as I noted in my review, when it catches on on my skirt in back, and I wear it to the office without anything under it, with no problem. I also have no strain on the front when sitting. This pattern line is meant to have lots of ease and it looks like some weight in the fabric is important too.
