I've been contemplating outfits for hot weather, and this is one of the possibilities. It sounds like this particular version has too much fabric for that, though. Your version came out great, with all the nice touches you added.

This just looks like a real win - win project. You get to do some experimenting while someone in need will get a stylish and comfy cool garment. It really is a nice looking fabric for the pattern and such a flexible fit will be really appreciated I am sure.
