I only did a stitch in the ditch. It was really hard to flatten the darn thing out to sandwitch it to begin with, so I just decided to go in the ditches to avoid any shifting fabric. Even with a walking foot, it was still hard to ease in any excess fabric I had from not being able to flatten it enough :(
