Isn't it great fun to whip up a top? You might try clear elastic zig zagged (loarge, wide) to the wrong side of the neckline - stretinch jut an insy winsy bit, then turn and twin needle for a stabilized, nice neckline on your next top - that is what I do on both knits and wovens.
