I'm sure these look great. You moved the zipper from side to back and I see many people move them from back to side. It's all a personal preference and if that's what you want - go for it.

Mary: my daughter flew in for a weekend and i had 5 garments to fit on her! I initially put the zipper in the back seam so that I would have a clear shot at the fiddling I knew I would have to do at the side seams, she liked the zipper in the back and so I kept it there! I think placing it in the side seam, as indicated on the pattern, would have a more RTW look.

It's a very interesting dress with the unique armsceye. Glad to read that it is comfortable.
