These look great. I don't see anything wrong with using childrens' pattern for both girls and boys. It's a great way to get extra use out of your patterns. Good for you.

That's a clever idea for making a costume, and it's not totally for a one-time use. The hoodie will be used lots, I'll bet. And I think you're smart not to limit a "girl" or "boy" pattern. And wow, the reflective tape works (in the photo you can tell).
