said... Gigi, your comments on kwik Sew patterns got me interested in trying them. This was a pattern line I had sort of forgotten about. We must have similar taste, because the ones you have reviewed were patterns that I liked in the catalog. The ones I have made have all turned out great. 12/18/01 12:28 PM

I would like to try this view as a dress. I have made the other version with the higher rounded neck 5 time so far and just love it!(by the way, I got the pattern in the first place because of your review). 1/17/03 11:50 AM
Gigi Louis said... Arlene, it does not cling anywhere - just make sure you allow enough ease through the tummy and hip area. This dress is so comfortable that I am thinking of making it floor length for a modern-day caftan. 1/17/03 12:28 PM
starlene said... I plan on making it all black, out of stretch velvet and a beautiful raschel knit that I have. I used this combination for view a before (which I am currently wearing). I won't be using a pattern to lengthen if for a dress style, so do you have any suggestions for how wide it should be at the hem for walking ease? 1/17/03 12:35 PM

Gigi Louis said... Oh, yes, Alex, it's VERY comfortable. :-) Arlene, I used an old McCall's pattern as a template for my dress - the hem circumference is about 55". 1/17/03 3:03 PM

Sherril Miller said... Oh, Gigi. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who has to make a ton of alterations to make a pattern fit. Especially on KS, which seems to be a pattern that everyone can wear. Now, I was wondering what to do with a great knit I bought in several colors. I really like this top. 1/18/03 1:26 PM
