My sister has requested pillows just like these for a Christmas present. How do you join the pillows at the buttons? Could you possibly describe that part? Bang em together -- oh just sort of smoosh them without the bottom part, gotcha.

Hi Mary -- Let me clarify. You make two pillows. Then you make two covered buttons, following the instructions on the package. Then, you put one of the buttons on a length of button twine, or a quadrupled thread, on an apholstery needle. Stitch through pillow #1 in the middle, then stitch through pillow #2 in the middle. Then take your second button and tie it in the middle of pillow #2, tight enough that the pillows will dimple a bit in the middle. Does that make sense?

Neat pillows, they will be a very nice gift. And thanks for mentioning that the covered buttons were easy with the kit. The button attachment part makes sense now that you explained it.
