This sounds like a real Adventure in Sewing:). You have more perseverance than I do. I would probably have turned the project into "let's make some pretty paint rags".I like the skirt style, and have been thinking about making something similar in corduroy. For those who like pleats, Stretch & Sew has a similar style pattern, http://www.stretch-and-sew.com/473.htm, that is worth a look. It has button front, but the front could also be cut on a fold for a plain front.
