It's adorable! I'm sure you'll find great patterns in Ottobre!

Really cute! But I certainly agree about the criticisms: McCall's seems to have good concepts, but then they screw them up with really clumsy construction. And they're always huge!

I think we have all had similar experiences with sizing and silly construction techniques. Stick with Ottobre & Kwik Sew. I love the outfit though and the fishy.

Sorry you had so much trouble but it looks like your persistence paid off. This is really cute and I love the fish and his air bubbles.

I think this is adorable and I LOVE that you chose such a great color! I have made those little baby hats from the Big Four patterns and they all seem to run REALLY big. Fortunately it's easy enough to sew larger seams to make them smaller!

I love the fishy! And I've had similar problems with the Big 3 patterns for babies and small children - the sizing is ridiculous!

Too bad this didn't work out for you-the pics sure look cute! The fish is particularly precious-great job! I have made a lot of baby clothes, and by far the best fitalways comes from Kwik Sew-the sizes seem much more accurate and similar to RTW. Good luck with the Ottobre magazine, and the baby of course :o)

I just cut some shirts with the lapped shoulder from an old OOP Simplicity -- thanks for the heads up on neck size, I'll be very careful. Your end result is very cute - too bad the pattern is a stinker.
