Tarawebster said... Beautiful version of this tee...it's one of my top five favorite patterns of all time, and I never would have thought of making it in velvet! I love the velvet version too. Isn't it wonderful to be able to email Marsha and get fitting and sewing advice? I've found her to be incredibly responsive and helpful, as have others. I can't say enough good stuff about this company, and am happy to see you are having the same experience.
Your tee looks LOVELY on you, and happy upcoming birthday. It all gets much better after 40. :-) We are like fine wine, and only get better with time.
Great job on this and I look forward to seeing what you do with their other patterns if you ever sew some others up.

Mini said... Beautiful color and fit!!! I have an idea about the draglines. With raglan sleeves you can sometimes get rid of this by taking a deeper seam allowance along the front raglan edge of the sleeve. You could try pinning out some fabric along the front raglan seams and see what happens. Every fabric is different, so doing a basted fitting of the raglan seams can help you see if there is extra fabric in the front part of the sleeve that you can remove before doing the permanent seams. (Hint: when fitting raglans, think of a raglan seam as a diagonal dart that can be deepened for a closer fit in the upper chest). 3/11/06 7:37 PM
