That is really cute.. top I have been thinking about making one out of some purple sweater knit that is almost like yours. Well I guess I won't be make until next winter the temps here are in the 80's.

Ann,how did you do the hems on this? It looks great. As always I want to see a photo of you modeling the garment, when you get a chance.

Looks like this was knitted on large needles or a bulky knitting machine. It's hard to imagine buying this kind of a knit. That magic Kashi and his incredible Metro Textiles!

I have finally moved onto sewing "knit" category, but still am very afraid of sewing this kind of material. Beautiful work! Some day, I would like to try this type, too!

Oooh, so comfy and cozy looking, Ann. I'll have to take another look at that Threads issue.

That's such great fabric and it's so true, it looks hand knitted. Beautiful sewing. I guess it's still winter in MA.

Oh wow, Ann. That's really great looking. I bet it is smashing on you. Comfy and cozy yet sexy and glam all at the same time. Kudos on the great feat!

" I guess it's still winter in MA." LOL Touran - it was actually in the 60s today - I was driving the Mustang with the top down! But I'm sure I'll get some good wear from this before the spring actually arrives. Georgene, I did the hems using a twin needle on my Pfaff. The sleeves turned out great, but the garment hem was a little wavy. Next time I would probably use a stabilizer. As it is, I think it will shrink back if I use the steamer. I hope to wear it tomorrow, so I'll let you know. Thanks all! -Ann

That is a scrumptious-looking knit! Of course, I'd like to see it on you to see what you'd pair it with since you have such a keen sense of style! :)

Ann, who needs to learn to knit if one can make such an adorable sweater with the sewing machine like you did! I bet you look awesome!

A heavier knit like this really gives the collar the look this style needs! I love it Ann.

This looks great on you, Ann. Do many people come up to you and ask where you bought the sweater? Everytime I wear a bulky looking fabric, people always assume it's a knitted sweater. The last time I was asked where I bought the sweater, when I said I made it, the reply was, "don't tell me you knit, too" ! Only sewers know!!!

Wow! You did a beautiful job. I would not be so brave to tackle the cowl neck like you did, and it turned out so nice. Great job!

I'll echo Phyllis' remark. You did a great job with pattern/fabric matching. Ideal even. It's gorgeous and cuddly looking too. Good job. As always!
