Congratulations on a successful pants project. I think Kwik Sew pants do run a bit large, but you can check the finished garment measurements on the pattern piece to see which size will be better ( I never trust the size chart). They size their patterns for someone 5'6", so if you are shorter that may explain the low crotch. It also helps to compare a garment that already fits to the pattern pieces when choosing a size. It's always impressive to see the word "easy" on a fly-front pants pattern. Congratulations. I do think Kwik-Sew tends to run large.
