Thanks for reviewing this pattern - it's one of the many on my wish list. I'll definitely try your tip about changing the grain line on the front and back of the skirt. It sounds like a big improvement. Does it change the yardage required to make the skirt?

Cathy, I forgot to add that the skirt is very wide at the bottom so I tapered the side seams 1 1/2". It is still nice and full at the bottom. The yardage requirements don't change much, it might take a little more to change the grainline. My suggestion is to change the pattern and then see how much yardage you need based on that.
