Those are too cute. I'm glad he loves them. Before you sew up a pattern, you need to check if there are other reviews. Other reviews mentioned the "no waistband" problem with this pattern. Check them out and see how they handled the flop facing problem.

Thanks - but I only see 2 other reviews of this pattern and only 1 of those is for the pants... she did mention the no waistband issue but she didn't really address how to fix the floppy facing. Maybe I'm missing something?

Next time before you do a fly front zipper, go to the Threads website, look for their online videos, watch the one on doing a fly front. This video is by Sandra Betzina, and for me is the easiest way to put in a fly front zipper, and what I always use! Sorry to hear about the facing, I hate facings, could you tack it down near seam areas? They look good!

Very nice! So much hard work. Try the Butterick catalog for B3475. It is shorts and shirts and can be made longer! sizes 2-5 and then 6-8.
