craftygamma, I think it is just the drape of the fabric. You can see it in the sleeves too. The fabric is relatively thin. I didn't want to add ANY bulk at all to my own.......

I like this style to dress up a sweatshirt, which I wear a lot in winter. It looks a little bulky in the rib area. Is that the case, or just the way the picture makes it look? I have enough midriff bulk of my own, and don't need any extra...lol. I love the contrast collar.
