Great job on your first garment! I like the striped lining with the solid top--cute! We all learn as we go--don't give up!

thank you! yes, the stripes were a good idea in theory but unfortunately the stripes are raised, not flat, and the texture is not flattering in the chest area. I had a moment of discouragement, but I'm looking at it as a learning experience, and I'll do better on the next garment!

Well done on your first clothes sewing exercise! Being curvy makes it harder to get proper fit, which can be discouraging. Don't give up. I think learning how fabric behaves and what works with what is so often trial and error. I tried looking up the pattern on the web, and to my surprise found they do not provide a back view. I think it is irresponsible of the pattern company to sell something on the web without this. Shame on them. You could have saved time and money on something that was not what you wanted. And morale! It's a nice style on the model, and I like your colours. I look forward to your next creation. Cheers! Linda

You did a great job, especially for a first project. Congratulations! And you lined it, too? Wow! I have been sewing for a few months and have not attempted lining yet.

Arabella, this pattern didn't work for the person I made it for either, and she is not exactly "curvy" (more like an A cup). The cups seemed to be too gathered on the sides and not enough in front, so it looked like her boobs (what there is of them) are under her armpits. I got mad because I spent a lot of time with beading that hung down below the cups. Oh well, yet ANOTHER learning experience!
