Just bought this and am planning to teach 12yo DS to make them himself. He keeps going for the boring plaids but I think they would be great in some of my crazy stash stuff. He's not so sure "no one will see them." lol Thanks for the review (s).

When you are talking about transferring the stitching line to the front - I think you mean on the fly opening. If that's the case what I have done is made a template. Then, when it's time, place the template on the front, outline in chalk and sew. Works great and takes much less time.
