Those are really nice --and your review makes me chuckle--even while it is very helpful at the same time!

Geez, Debbie--you're good at psychology too? What do you DON'T do? I must try this pattern on my DH--the elastic will help with fitting around the "beer barrel"!

Very nice pants. Just for other readers, there is a video clip of Sandra Betzina doing the fly front zipper. It was mentioned by someone else (can't remember-sorry) on a previous review. The website is http://www.taunton.com/threads/pages/tvt008.asp If that link doesn't work, go to the Threads website and click on video tips, find the fly front one by SB. Great pair of pants, Debbie.

This is one pair of smokin' hot shorts for your birthday fella! Absolutely great-looking and you made fabulous modifications (especially the pockets). I'd make a bunch more for him, too!

I agree it's good to bribe the men with sewing for them once in a while. These are nice looking pants that fit better than RTW. I should do some sewing for my DH too.

Cool shorts Debbie. I like all the topstitching and pockets, and the fit looks really good too straight from the envelope.

great looking pants, Deb. And I agree, sew for the men...they strut like peacocks when you do and then they ignore all the EOS packages coming in the door.

Thanks for a great review Deb. Good advice about sewing for the blokes in our lives. Your blokes are gorgeous too.

Great review Debbie. Most men I know don't like those drawstring things either. Good choice.

I love this review. I haven't sewn for my DH, but I think I might..especially if there are less fit issues.

Great job! You're right about the men loving us to sew for them. My husband was thrilled when I made him a dress shirt for father's day.
