It's very pretty. Love the colors! I made (or almost did) one of these skirts too, in some of the same J's poly Made in India fabric. It's SOOOO poofy and that's just what I don't need. I'm debating cutting it down for DS's girlfriend who is probably a size 2 but, like you, I didn't really enjoy the process so it's wadded up in a pile right now.

This is a very striking skirt. Yes, cotton would be softer, but sometimes you have to go for a little drama.

It sounds like it didn't take two hours! It is very striking, and I think if your mother likes it, then it was well worth it!
