Nice job on your top--beautiful shade of purple. I don't think it was anyones fault that the neckband needed adjusting. Different fabrics need different neckband lengths in order to lay flat (I had the same experience with my Jalie t-shirt). In the future I am only making neckbands out of really stretchy fabric and trimming off 1-2 inches from the length (then basting in place to check the length). Perhaps the extra 1/2 inch of stretch was enough to change the neckband length. I like your improvisation and you ended up with excellent results
