I bought the fabric in Lucca in a little shop that had lots of designer material. I neglected to say that mine is a silk wool mixture with just enough elastan to make slacks really comfortable.

Where did you buy the fabric? I was in Italy this summer and also indulged in some fabric shopping, so I'd love to hear which stores you liked. My favorite was in Arezzo--really gorgeous designer quality fabric but more reasonably priced than what I found elsewhere Nan
