Love it! Great fabric and trim choices, it makes the skirt look so consistent, yet still highlights the patterns interesting contrasts. good job!

What a great looking skirt. I'm glad you lightened the picture a bit so that we could get an idea of the pieces of fabric you used and a hint of the laces. It looks lovely. Thanks for an informative review.

Your skirt is lovely. I had rejected this pattern, but now might have to add it to the list of "somedays". Thanks for the review and the tip about drawing a sketch first!

That's really classy, with it all being in shades of black withthe stripes and lace it has a more designer look than their multi-coloured one - lovely - and more fitted than a similar one I love which has an elastic waist.

Beautiful work! You inspired me to try this one. I wish I could see how it looks on so I could get an idea of the fit. Maybe when you get a chance. Thanks!

I like your toned down approach to the color scheme much better than the one on the pattern envelope. The addition of lace just makes it so classy. I'm looking forward to more reviews of your very original work.

Very pretty! I too like yours better than the pattern envelope. Thank you for the info on the "no darts".

I think it's lovely. Is that lace down the front or part of the pattern of one of the fabrics? it looks great!

How to construct a pattern from bluejeans already made.?

Generally white on white or black on black detail--trim in the same color as the fabric--is generally considered the most elegant choice. Different, contrasting colors usually give a more casual look. Given that principle, your black trim on black fabric looks both creative and elegant. Keep up the good, creative work. Thanks for the review.

I have this pattern but haven't tried it yet. I think I will follow your lead since black is my main dark neutral for my wardrobe. Thanks for the great review.

Thank you so much for all your comments, you have given me the confidence to put up further garments. Its quite nerve racking doing this for the first time. The skirt has been one of those real success projects, I wear it at least once a week and still get comments.
