Brava! Your top is just wonderful!! You might experiment with this in another fabric, something like a heavy knit with lots of stretch, and that "tightness" would disappear. I love the colors and the embroidery is beautiful!!

This is a nice casual jacket--everyone will think it is RTW. About those sleeves--they do appear much longer in the drawings and on the model. Feel free to lengthen them on the "lengthen/shorten here" line. I use a blind hem a lot and some fabrics will show the stitches more than others. Practice a lot and try loosening your needle tension, and you might also want to use that "invisible" nylon thread. I've done that quite often. And, press, press, press.

I am also impressed, especially since I am a grandmother of a 1 & 4 yr old.I remember squeezing sewing time.I think it helped keep my sanity, back then.You will do great on future projects, if you are starting out like this one!
