Sue, I'm sorry I missed you at the conference. I'd love to have seen your first garment in person. If it is as lovely as this gorgeous green one, than it must really be something. It's funny how our shape changes over time and you've been through more than most in the last couple of years so no wonder it fits so well now. Is the piping and ties the same vintage kimono fabric?

Yes, the piping and ties are the same fabric. The ties were an after-thought, and it would have been nicer if I thought of it while doing the piping and made it one continuous thing. I originally planned on buttons, but then reviewed some of these here and saw that Carol did one with ties and beads and really liked that so I did a tie and now after seeing the latest Threads magazine and the fabric covered straws used as beads, I may add those to these ties. The kimono fabrics were from ebay, not sure who and also I got some from a vendor at the recent ETA show. And don't recall who that was either.

Your blouse inspires me to try piping on a garment. I've done it on pillows but never a garment.
