When I'm making something fitted where doing that alteration really makes a difference, I'll make a muslin first, and pinch out the extra fabric that collects at the back waist. I glanced through your album, and I *love* the baby sweater/hat from LMKG-I made that sweater too, but mine was all one color (lavendar) and was unfortunately a cheapy,, very soft acrylic.
