Thanks for the review, Shona. I considered buying this pattern, but it seemed awfully expensive for such a "simple" top. I am not sure I would buy it after this review, esp. if it doesn't look great from the side! Who wants to worry about how you stand! I thought it was darling from the front. Thanks again for your detailed review.

Thanks so much for the review, Shona. I'm like Pam -- looked often at the pattern, but lacked enough confidence in the line drawing to actually spend $20 on the pattern. Maybe someday my pattern drafting skills will improve and I'll try adding that cool drapey pleat to a top I know already fits...
