I just showed my dd (8) the pattern photo and she wants me to make these for her too. One quick suggestion re laundry sorting. I stitch a piece of ribbon in the back seam of pants. Makes it easier to determine back from front. You could use different colours for each child.

Like the suggestion of ribbon in the back seam... but the different color for each child won't work if there is a lot of hand-me-down when the older outgrows the piece LOL into my wishlist!

These are adorable. I know you posted it ages ago- but my Mom would put a dot into the back of all my clothes, being that all hand-me-downs went to me. Dot free clothes belonged to my sister, and went into her room.
