Rusti said... What a beautiful blouse!! Thanks for the great review. I keep thinking that this could be lengthened into a fantastic dress. Would it require a huge amount of fabric?? 12/2/02 10:56 PM
GorgeousFabrics said... Betty, it's funny, I just suggested this pattern to Bettina the day you requested it, so it was fresh in my mind. Rusti, I think that you can lengthen this into a dress without any problems. This would make a wonderful fit and flare dress. I'd add a side zipper to it. The only caveat is that you might want to cut it one size bigger than you normally wear. I made a bias dress (it was my previous review on PR), and I found that unless I cut it generously, it hit in some places that (after two kids!) I would rather it didn't. :)
Oh yeah - I would recommend at least 4 yards for a dress - make a muslin first and use it for the pattern. 12/2/02 11:13 PM
