Perfect for summer. And good for different fabrics, also.

hi folks i've added more shots of the top and capri pants i made from this same pattern in green gingham. in fact i love the pants pattern - its really easy less than 1 hr to make including cutting time. i made size 18 - too big really a bit puffy around the legs i'm gonna take them in. also i realize that wearing the white top (see photos) the darts are too high up. i'll adjust that next time I sew it.

ooooooooh that is really pretty. I like how basic it is.

I think this top looks very crisp and summery. I don't think it looks conservative, I think it is very pretty. I am not sure why you had the difficulty turning the neck, but wonder if it has anything to do with the lycra stretch in the fabric. I am making a blouse right now and I wonder if it is similar fabric. It *looks*as though it would be easy to sew with but it actually is kind of unforgiving. Like yours-slightly see through so on mine seams are better sewn as flat felled or french. Certainly not as easy to sew as regular cotton broadcloth-it is harder to ease and to shape by pressing. But I really like the look of your top, I think it looks very high end, I also think it would be pretty for work with the right slacks and some accessories.
