Your skirt looks great. I agree that the shorter length is more flattering. I love the corduroy.

You have made a great job of this combination of fabric and pattern. I would not have thought that a courdroy would work with this pattern, but you have given it a sleek, tailored look that works really well. The length is perfect. Bummer about the tights though - it is a winter weight fabric, but - brrrr! Cheers!

Your skirt looks so professional! Thanks for the yoke tip - I have a yoked skirt cut out right now and the instructions did tell me to sew them separately - I'll follow your instructions instead; what you said about fitting really makes sense!

So kicky! I love the shorter length with the fabric. I like sewing my together with the bottom pieces beofre doing the side seams for fitting, but you have to pin carefully to get the seam to line up after that.

Very cute! If you wear a slip or line the skirt with stretchy slippery lining, you might be able to wear tights without the skirt riding up. You'd get rid of the friction this way.

Love your yoke tip. Bonking myself on the head saying "Of course! It makes perfect sense!" This would have made pants last month muuuch easier.
