Great job!! It's always exciting to have a TNT pattern-your skirts look very pretty!

Cute, cute skirt. Just was thinking about making something with a piece in my stash and think this will be it. My dd will love it. Does this skirt have a elastic waist? And thanks for the tip about using your serger to gather. Been sewing so long I forget to try new things.

Hi Katie, yes the skirt has an elastic waist. The serger-gathering was a cinch, it got me ALMOST the right tension, then I just pinned the skirt to the yoke at side seams and markers and pulled it in a teeny bit more. I pinned the serged edge below the edge of the yoke so I sewed 1/4" from the serging to keep the gathers neat. (Rather than sewing 5/8" from serged edge, spreading the gathers far and wide.) Hope that makes sense. Your DD will love it and so will you, for ease of making it :)

Cute. I like the dust-cover version! :) They will both be great for the warm weather.
