The toughest thing about knit dresses seems to be finding great fabric. When you see some, snatch it up. I've got a long red knit dress even simpler than yours (no waist seam) and for some reason it draws compliments every time I wear it. If I ever find that fabric I'll buy the whole bolt!

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes KerryB, I'm loving retirement! and Seamingly Simple--I absolutely know what you mean about the finding the great fabric. I'm beginning to learn now that if I find that fabric that I REALLY love, buy plenty!

Linda, thank you so much for this review. I've been too afraid to venture into a close fitting dress because of my "older figure". It's not the 30 (or 40) year old body it used to be and although I love the style of dress that you reviewed, I shy away from it, thinking it won't look nice on me. Your picture and review have given me encouragement to venture out and not be so hard on myself. Beautiful fabric and a very helpful review!
