Thanks for the review, Cindy. These pants look very similar to the OOP Simplicity 9589 I've been making for years. I'll have to check it out!

Cindy, I joined, requested a review for this pattern, and your posting was made the same day! Thank you VERY much. I would like to make pants with some teal pinwale corduroy in my stash and am debating between this pattern and S&S 756 (Pull-on-Pants with Pockets). I shall look out for crotch adjustment. I am a couple of inches shorter than you--sort of average torso, with notably short limbs. I made several pairs of short from S&S 785 (review forthcoming) this summer, and only adjusted leg length and width. However, that pattern has elastic all around (no front pleats), so a little extra room would not have mattered much.
