Oh, wow....and I didn't think I wanted to be a Grandma. I have to find a baby to sew for. This outfit is adorable. Great work, Glo.

This is so cute. Snapsource sells snaps with extra long prongs and a special tool for setting which is great.

This is just too cute! What a lucky little man he is going to be when he gets here. Thanks for the tip on the neck pattern.

Very cute, and beautifully made. That's going to be a lucky baby! To put in my two cents on the snaps - when I had my first child, I put them on everything, but found it so hard to do them up on a wriggling kicking baby, and you have to keep the garment out of the way of the contents of the nappy, so I stopped bothering, and just pulled his trousers right off to change him, which I found easier all round. Not that I was avoiding having to put snaps on or anything........

Glo this is just too cute! I love the little hat too. BTW, Hot Tape works great on the bed of the machine. It comes right off but can be repositioned over and over.

I'm with Judy on the snaps--it's just as easy to whip the pants completely off. Overalls and rompers have their own appeal (baby doesn't wiggle right out of them on his or her travels), and for those I use the Snap Setter to keep all pieces in the right position while I whack it with a hammer.

Glo, very nice job. I made the overalls and hat in a black/white spotted polarfleece as a Halloween costume (dalmation) last year. I really wanted to make it again before he outgrew it (he is now in size XL) but didn't get it done. :( My 2 cents about the snaps: I only use them on one piece outfits like overalls, not on a pair of pants. Of course every Mom is different on this. Also, try the metal Snapsource snaps and setter. They work much better than the dritz.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! :) I did want to clarify though that the snaps are on the jacket front. The difficulty is going through two layers of sweatshirting and a layer of interfacing. The Dritz snaps would probably work better on a lighter weight knit. I really appreciate the tip about Snapsource. I'll have to give them a try.

What a cute little outfit! You did a wonderful job on putting it together, too. Thanks for the review and picture.
