Teri, with a drapier fabric (I made mine of a linen/rayon blend), the collar doesn't look too big. I like it the size it is. I was afraid it would overpower me, since I'm only 5'2", but it doesn't. It looks kind of like a modified sailor collar.

Teri, the collar is very big, it ends at my shoulders. It is however easy to make smaller. because it consists of just a rectangle sewn to the neck opening. As it is, it looks a bit like a scarf.

I have often wondered if the collar would be overpowering. Is it "way" big in reality, or just a nice big?
