Thanks for reviewing this. I like your changes and I was contemplating doing something similar to my copy of this pattern. I agree that the original looks too young, but your changes are just right.

Very cute and a great way to play up stripes. I made this one for my DD but I never thought of bias binding for the neck....it is an easy sew
