Sure, I can explain...I just laid out my fabric, and put the skirt on top. I pinned the skirt as flat as I could and then cut around allowing for an approximate 5/8 seam allowance. I just used that as a pattern for the other half of the skirt, and then for the lining. All four pieces were exactly the same. then I sewed side seams for both skirt and lining. I inserted the zipper then. After that, I just sewed the lining to the skirt, right sides together. Then flipped the skirt, topstiched the lining down, and hand sewed the lining to the zipper tape and put on a little hook and eye. Hemmed and it was done!
