I agree, this is a neat idea, but also that the construction techniques need some definite tweaking. I wonder, without being able to see the whoe process, if one could use timtex, eliminate the bottom seam (cut it on a fold), and stitch the sides together using the french seam process, allowing for the extra room this would take inside? I would probably cut away the seam allowances on the timtex before fusing, to cut down on bulk at the seams. Great fabric, and good tweaking! Marsha *<*

Those are good ideas, Marsha. It would work, unless the fabric were directional. (In this case, they are.) I slept on it, and realized how it "should" have been done. It should have been done as any lined bag is done, even if this is an envelope... you know, where you attach the lining at the top and pull through a gap left in the side or bottom. Full-sized pockets are easy to install in those, and one could use that for additional stabilizer (the plastic canvas) or... because it would be fully lined, one could just use timtex everywhere and leave it at that. If I have time (not likely) I will do another one this way, also expanding the size all around by an inch.
