Ann, I am tired of winter here too :( for some reason though I did not like the short sleeve length on LH's tops. Its too long and does not end at a flattering place. by the way did you notice the pattern photo in which her daughter is wearing the boatneck top. I thought the fit was quite bad. the other photo however pulled me in:)

I agree, Deepika. It looks like the boatneck version is a size too big for the model, and the bottom hem waves in an unattractive way. That may also be the fabric itself. The knit that I used has loads of stretch, so it's got more clikng, like the nubby knit in the picture on the pattern.

Thanks for your review, Ann. I can't wait to make this top. And thanks for the point about going a size smaller for really stretchy knit. This will help me select the size. BTW, not to gloat pppp, but we are having really lovely early spring weather here, which makes it possible to think spring and wear lighter clothes.

Sorry you are having so much cold. In AZ we are having unseasonably warm weather in the high 70s low 80s though it will probably cool early next week. I guess I don't think the shirts look bad on either model. I saw both of these samples in Eugene in October and thought they both looked great.

Ann, Love that top!!! looks very neat too. And the best thing is the boatneck is not too wide which is what I was afraid of. I love your fabric too. Congrats on the new camera.

Ann, too fabulous and you are too lovely! I adore the red striped fabric - puts me in mind of Tintin and French coffee and the Seine... but I digress. So glad you have a camera!

Your top is lovely. I like the way it looks on you better then the pattern photos. A great choice in fabric too. It does make me think of summer. Very fun!

That looks like a pattern for the green & white stripe stretch that's been in my stash for 5 years. Funny to hear you girls talk about winter. Here in Australia it's stinking hot - we had 45C the other day - I think that's about 117F. Bring on the cold weather, I say!!
