PJs are a great beginner project. Thanks for lightening the picture; dark fabrics are so un-cooperative that way. Neat looking fabric. A few ways to mark front vs back: stitch in a bias-cute piece of fabric on the back side (cutting on the bias reduces fraying); stitch a little X on the waistband in the back; make a little thread mark in a contrasting thread on the inside back. Keep on practicing, & your sewing skills will continue improving. (I always recommend Kwik-Sew Learn to Sew or Simplicity Sewing for Dummies as good patterns to get used to instructions with. NAYY)
