I think it's cute - call it your muslin and do up another one. :) I have this pattern but haven't tried it and now my kids have outgrown it. Maybe next baby. LOL.

Well, for a first hat it is really cute!! I have been sewing a loooong time and find baby hats very hard to fit :o) For a toddler, a bigger pattern is in order-my DD outgrew the baby hats I made her very quickly, which is a shame because there were several views I wanted to try. Oh well, she wouldn't keep them on anyway :oP Anyway, the hat is really cute! I love the fabric. Try again, in a bigger size :o)
