Shouldn't be any reason for clear elastic in side seams, just around the neck would be enough... Looks good though :-).

Great top; it seems to fit you very nicely. I just tried a T.S. pattern & really like it; tempted to get more. (re the back seams: I don't know; at least you got a top out of those pieces! )
