The top looks good, but I know what you mean! I hate those tops that the arm seam is a little past my shoulder ball cap, it actually makes it annoying. Try another, maybe you will find one that will help you morph the shoulder/sleeves of this one!

I suspect that you have the correct size this time around - it looks just like the pattern picture. Having a good knit can make a big difference; perhaps make this again w/ a better knit?
