EveS said... Oh GOODIE, I got this one last week!!! Very cute! And I love the lining, too...a little something just for you! Re the midriff, I think it looks great, but if you don't like it I wonder if it would help if it was a little tighter? I made a similar dress (Simplicity? I forgot) that has the rouching and that panel was pretty tight against the underlining. I wonder if there's a difference here. The gathers stay put very well and are slimming on the Simplicity. Perhaps the fact that I did a knit made a difference also? Anyway, GREAT dress, and very helpful review! Thanks!! 6/21/07 4:06 PM
AnneM said... Great background for your picture. Great lining, good summer dress. I think the red dress looks a bit better, with the tighter midriff section, than the blue one. 6/29/07 9:21 PM
Kiwi Girl said... I love the colour and style and it looks great on you. I think you have done a fabulous job with this dress... Great idea to take the fullness out of the middle section... I too have made a dress not unsimilar and not worn it due to the added bulk in the midriff, so I am thinking I will do as you have done.
