I'm glad to hear that these worked out so well! I'd *love* to make my dh some boxer briefs, but he worries that they won't be as comfy as store bought. I'm not willing to press the case, but your experience suggests that they feel fine. What does your dh say about the fit? You've found a great way to save on those super pricey ones! Good job! eBay has good sources/stores for the special underwear (and other types of) elastic.

Lisa, the only comments on fit from DH was about the leg opening (slightly tight on his thigh). The waistband actually sits below his navel, just like the RTW ones. I serged these so the seams were small but they aren't completely flat like the RTW ones. DH didn't care but I might topstitch those down in the next pair in the crotch seam. Otherwise, really they are nearly identical to RTW except for the nicer material in RTW that we are going to try next (Powerdry that is).

You might look into Kathy's Elastic Coop on Yahoo. She's a good source. These look nice and I imagine the wicking ones will be even better.

Have you been able to make these with the wicking fabric from Powderdry? Have you found a source for the sport elastic?
